Joseph R. Krier is currently a Principal of Krier Consulting Group. Joe served as President and Chief Executive Officer of The Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce from 1987 to 2007. Krier has previously been Of Counsel at Bracewell & Guiliani LLP and a partner with the law firm of Groce, Locke & Hebdon as a member of the firm's corporate and commercial litigation section. He began his legal career as an associate in the real estate section of the Houston firm of Bracewell & Patterson, where he established the firm's Wills and Estates section. He was Counsel there from 2007 to 2009.

He has also been a member of the local real estate firm of Grieshaber & Roberts. During that time, he developed and managed a portfolio of real estate properties for himself and other investors. In addition to Krier Consulting, Krier serves on the boards of the SH130 toll road and Humanities Texas. Mr. Krier attended The University of Texas, B.A. (1968) - Austin, Texas and The University of Texas School of Law, Doctor of Jurisprudence (1971) - Austin, Texas. Mr. Krier is married to former State Senator, County Judge and University of Texas Regent, Cyndi Taylor Krier.
