Jane

In April 1999, Jane and her husband, Bob, sold their fresh fruit and vegetable processing company, Fresh from Texas, which they started in 1980. She was responsible for the financial management of the company along with overseeing the marketing and human resource functions.

After four years of retirement, Jane was excited to spearhead the Masters Leadership Program of San Antonio and Bexar County in 2004, modeled after a successful program in Naples, FL. Having served on numerous community boards, Jane is gratified this program, under the United Way umbrella, has become a primary source for knowledgeable, qualified and dedicated non-profit and civic board members.

Phipps' current community involvement includes serving on the board of directors for San Antonio Area Foundation, as chair of the trustees for the Nancy Smith Hurd Foundation, and on the advisory board for the University of the Incarnate Word Business School.  Past service includes an array of boards: USAA Federal Savings Bank, Alamo College Foundation, St. Mary's University Greehey School of Business, and Avance San Antonio. Jane has a BS in marketing from the University of Colorado. She and Bob have two grown children and two grandchildren.
